Games Extravaganza for All Ages In-Person
Please note: Due to HVAC work scheduled to be done at the library in June, the kickoff event has been postponed. Now the all-day Games Extravaganza will be our Summer Reading Grand Finale on Thursday, August 14, from 11-7, featuring Big Ryan's Mystery Room: Alien Escape for tweens and teens ages 10+ at 6:00 pm.
Games, activities, and special events will be set up throughout the library! Including giant Jenga, BINGO games, jigsaw puzzle competitions, Scrabble games, and much more.
Drop in for an hour or stay all day! We'll have snacks and beverages, outdoor games and indoor air-conditioning to keep you cool in August. Fun for all ages!
Statewide summer reading programs are supported by the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Bruins, with funding from the Institute of Museums and Library Services. The Thayer Public Library Summer Reading Program is additionally supported by local sponsors: Starland Sportsplex (Hanover), and Altitude Trampoline Park (Avon).
